What is the maximum payload of my TAXXI PRO or ELITE?
- taXXi Pro: 45 kg
- taXXi Elite For One: 35 kg
- taXXi Elite For Two: 45 kg
How old should my child be to be able to ride safely in a TAXXI bike trailer?
You can use your TAXXI bike trailer with a newborn from the 1st month of life on flat ground. We recommend the Weber baby seat for very young babies. We recommend your first jogging tours when your child is around 6 months old. As soon as the child can sit alone, there is no longer any objection to a tour in the TAXXI bicycle trailer without a Weber baby seat. This varies depending on the child's growth, but one can generally say that the child should be between 10 and 12 months old. We always recommend that the child should wear a helmet no matter what function.
How do the current TAXXI ELITE and PRO models differ from the 2019 models?
We optimize our models from year to year! Your feedback on our products is very important and helpful to us. For example, on all TAXXI models from 2020 we have repositioned the reflectors below the frame so that they no longer bend during the folding process. Overall, all models from the 1st generation (2019) to today are precisely adapted to your needs and offer maximum security.
How do I avoid mildew and mold?
Always park your TAXXI bicycle trailer dry and clean. Otherwise, mildew or mold can easily form. The TAXXI folding garage is perfect for protecting bicycle trailers from rain and dirt overnight, but it is not breathable. Therefore, the following also applies here: For a longer period of time, please only cover the trailer with the folding garage when it is clean and dry.
Please note: The fabric of the taXXi fabric is generally not a suitable breeding ground for mold. The causes of mold formation are organic contamination in the tissue, e.g. food residues, dirt, etc. Exposure to warm, moist air or wet storage promotes mold formation. Should it happen: If the infestation is small, clean the TAXXI bicycle trailer with a mildly alcoholic cleaning agent or a vinegar essence. Please do not use highly effective mold fighting agents under any circumstances. These are usually highly toxic and endanger the health of your child in the trailer.
How many couplings are delivered as standard?
You will always receive 2 couplings from us for your TAXXI bicycle trailer. For the TAXXI LOAD and DOG models, 1 coupling is included in delivery.
Is the TAXXI DOG tip-proof?
When used properly, the TAXXI DOG is stable and does not tip over. However, it is important to note that trailers that are attached to the left bicycle axle with a drawbar on one side have a technical risk of tipping over when making left turns. Particular caution is required in the following situations:
1. Tight curves and slopes: Drive around curves at a speed of 5 to 10 km/h. Reduce speed on tight curves with a radius of 2 to 3 meters. On very tight curves under 2 meters, drive at walking pace or push the bike and trailer. Be particularly careful on curves with slopes to avoid the dog slipping in the trailer and to minimize the risk of tipping over.
2. High speed: High speeds can affect the stability of the trailer. The trailer could move uncontrollably, increasing the risk of accidents.
3. Shifting the dog's weight: Be aware that your dog's position in the trailer can change unexpectedly. Such shifts in the center of gravity can have a negative impact on driving stability.
